PM felicitates Myanmar counterpart on independence day

ISLAMABAD (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has felicitated Prime Minister Thein Sein of the Union of Myanmar on the independence day of Myanmar on January 4.

In his message of felicitations the Prime Minister said, “on behalf of the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and on my own behalf I have great pleasure in extending our sincere greetings and warm felicitations on the auspicious occasion of the Independence Day of the Union of Myanmar.”

He said Pakistan and Myanmar enjoy cordial and cooperative relations, adding, “I am confident that the friendly ties between our two countries would be further strengthened in the years to come.”
