Unhappy 39 killed in twin suicide blasts in Lahore

Twin suicide attack kills 39 in Lahore: police

LAHORE: Twin suicide attacks seconds apart targeted the Pakistani military Friday, killing 39 people in the second attack to hit security forces in the country's cultural capital this week.

The bombers walked up to Pakistani army vehicles in the densely populated R A Bazaar area of Lahore, blowing themselves up as people sat down to eat before the Friday prayers were to begin, a senior official said.

The bombers targeted the cantonment of Lahore, an area home to army officials and military installations, as well as hospitals and schools run by the military. The area includes civilian homes, shops and restaurants.

Mohammad Nadeem, a young man in his 20s whose white shalwar khamis was stained with blood down the front, told AFP he was saying prayers in the mosque when he heard the first blast and rushed out.

“I saw people crying and running in different directions. They were panicked,” he said.

“The second blast took place very near a military vehicle. I sensed real danger and started running.

“There were scenes of destruction in nearby restaurants and shops. There were broken chairs and tables and other items lying everywhere on the ground.”The army cordoned off the tree-lined street with security officials saying at least five soldiers were among those killed when the twin blasts shattered windows and sent debris flying from nearby buildings.

“Thirty-nine people were killed and 95 wounded in the attacks,” Tariq Saleem Dogar, the Punjab provincial police chief, told reporters on live TV.

“We have collected concrete technical evidence, which will help identify the attackers,” he added.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Pakistan's mainstream Taliban faction claimed a suicide attack Monday that destroyed offices used to interrogate militant suspects, killing 15 people, and pledged further attacks.

“We have the heads of both the bombers. There was an interval of 15 seconds between the two attacks. They were on foot. Their target was army vehicles,”added police official Chaudhry Mohammad Shafiq.

Lahore Blasts: Indian Proxy War against Pakistan

Friday March 12, 2010

On March 13, 2010, two suicidal bombers walked up to Pakistan military vehicles and exploded themselves in densely populated area RA Bazar of Lahore cantt. In these attacks 45 persons included five soldiers killed and more than 120 individuals sustained injures. This is the second attack of on going week.

Earlier on March 8, 2010 Pakistani Intelligence Agency’s “sub-office” in Model Town Lahore was rocked at the time of a suicide attack and killing 15 people and many injured. It is also added here that since January 2010 twenty suicidal attacks have been launched against soldiers and citizens. In the night at from 0830 – 0930 PM again three bombs exploded near Moon Market, in which many individuals got injured. Out of revealed suicidal attacks, 12 have been carried out against the security forces. President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani condemned the Lahore blasts of March 12. They expressed condolences with the families of those who lost their lives in the dastardly terrorist act. The President said the government and people are determined to defeat terrorism and such gruesome acts cannot deter the national spirit is ready to defeat terrorists. It is also mentionable here that last year five attacks were launched in Lahore:

15 October 2009: Terrorists attacked Federal investigation Agency
12 June: a prominent anti-Taliban cleric killed by a suicide bomber at his religious school.
27 May: a car bomb attack on police buildings killed 23 persons.
30 March: Gunmen attacked a police academy, killing eight people
3 March 2009: Gunmen killed six police guards in an ambush of the Sri Lankan cricket team.

The conspicuous increase in volatility has been noticed since after ‘Mumbai attack”. India has started all out proxy war against Pakistan. Her Intelligence agency is using criminal elements of FATA and remote areas of Paksitan for fomenting terrorism. Indian Interior minister P Chidambaram and chief of Army Staff repeatedly threaten Pakistan. In a ceremony held on March 12, 2010 Inidan home minister once again alleged Pakistan for their domestic ongoing violence and militancy. He said that any act of terrorism from Pakistani territory against India will be taken as not be tolerant in future. In fact the purpose of such types of statements political and military leadership is to justify Indian covert and open sabotage activities against Pakistan.

The statements have to be analyzed keeping in view of the on going war on terror. New Delhi is using criminal and militants to terrorize the determined Pakistani Security Forces and general masses. Pakistan Ambassador at New Delhi Shahid Malik while answering to journalists rejected Chidambaram stance and said that India is involved in spreading terrorism in Balochistan instead of resolving burning issue of Kashmir and water.

Indian Chief OF Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor has also clearly shown her desire of striking Pakistan on November 22, 2009 when he warned that a limited war under a nuclear overhang is still very much a reality at least in the Indian sub-continent. On November 23, 2009 Pakistan Foreign Office Spokes man Abdul Basit asked the world community to take notice of remarks passed by the Indian Army Chief. He also said that India has set the stage and trying to impose a limited war on Pakistan.

In this context, earlier Pakistan Army Chief of Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has categorically expressed at number of occasions that Indian attack would be responded in full strength while using all types of resources.

Pak investigation agencies have collected the solid proves in the shape of fake Pakistani and American currencies, Indian made armaments, medical equipments and passports. The dossiers composed of evidences regarding Indian involvement in fomenting militancy in Pakistan has been provided to Indian authorities in recently held sectary level negotiations at New Delhi. It is also notable here that the terrorist are also being imparted training in Afghanistan and India for launching and targeting security agencies and important installations. A wave of suicide and bomb attacks across Pakistan has killed more than 3,000 people since 2007.

Hindus extremists are creating problems in Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. India is giving the money and weapons to the terrorists in these countries. India wants to destabilize his neighbours. But she should not forget the result of the Russia / Soviet Union. If India did not changed its behavior then soon would be disintegrated into in 27 parts. Though secular India claimed that she is the most religious in tolerance but on ground facts are quite difficult. Muslims, Christens and Sikhs even cannot shake hand with extremist Hindus. India is the only country in which there are always riots, killing of minorities, raping Tamils, Maoists and Kashmiries innocent women. Yearly more than 3000 individuals of minorities are being killed by Hindus extremists. Sikh still crying for justice and cannot forget the incident of Golden Temple in 1984. The killings of Muslims after Babri Masjid Shahdat went to its extreme where more than 3000 Muslims killed in Gujrat in 2002.

Indian extremists Hindus even don’t spare their own Sikh Prime Minister and use obnoxious language while criticizing him. In one of the comments posted in Indian Express called his Prime minister as “Manhoos Singh Govt’. The commentator also said that Indian government is appeasing all anti national elements. Talks with Pakistan, free entry to kashmiri militants, punishment to Tytler and Sajjan Kumar, everywhere this man (Manmohan Singh) is hurting India. He further stated that Kashmiri Muslims are our enemies. They will never be loyal to India. Crush them with an iron hand. The commentator has written these comments in response to news of killing a sixteen year old Zahid Farooq by a soldier of 68th BSF Battalion in the Kashmir Valley.

Research Analysis Wing (RAW) is known as brain of Indian Hindu Extremists. The radical Hindus are working in the nucleus of RAW. They are famous in elimination of their government and civilian personalities for the completion of their entrusted tasks. It is worth mentioning here that wife of Late Anti - Terrorism Squad Chief Hemant Karkare in an inquiry also alleged Col Prohit for murdering of her husband during Mumbai Drama. Col Prohit was also involved in killing of minorities and blasting of Samjota Express. Islamabad has at number of occasions demanded handing over of the Col to Pakistan for detailed investigations but New Delhi neither took any action against him and nor ready to hand him over to Pakistan. Reportedly, former Indian Intelligence officer Lt Col Prohit would soon be released.

Anyhow, coming back to the topic, I would say that India has chosen a calculated time frame for fomenting militancy in Pakistan i.e. (One) Pakistan Security Forces have met remarkable victory against foreign sponsored militancy; (two) American and NATO forces are no more interested to stay in Afghan region,(three) Indian stay in Afghanistan would be difficult after depart of US led ISAAF forces,(four) President Karzai has carried out successful visit of Islamabad , Pakistan Army Chief has offered the training of Afghan forces and police , (five) Pakistan recently stepped up its drive against the Taliban leadership (six) arresting Taliban second most senior commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, (seven) news about arresting many top figure heads of Al-Qaida, (eight) national unity against militancy, (nine) rising political and economical stability of Pakistan, (ten) to change world attention from Indian domestic violence, (eleven) American are stressing to resolve Kashmir and water Issues with Islamabad.

Thus the success of Pakistan, its security forces and intelligence agencies are not being digested by India and she has started a planned fresh wave of targeting heart of Pakistan (Lahore). New Delhi might be trying to force Pakistan to invest more forces on domestic fronts which would be helpful in case of already planned aggression against Pakistan. If it is true then World community should forces India to stop proxy war against Pakistan otherwise it would be proved another disaster for the global peace. USA and Russia should stop providing arms and transferring of nuclear technology to irresponsible country which is busy in spreading terrorism in the neighbouring countries.

RAW’S Secret War against Pakistan

Kashmir Watch, March 15, 2010

By Sajjad Shaukat

On March 12, twin suicide blasts targeting the military, ripped through the RA Bazaar in the cantonment area in Lahore, killing 57 people including eight soldiers and injuring 100 persons. Hours after, seven low-intensity bombssix in Iqbal Town and one in Samanabad exploded, causing no fatalities, but creating panic in the city.

Just like the past events, although Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the Lahore attacks, yet there are clear indications that Indian intelligence agency RAW is behind this latest terror-strikes in Lahore-the heart of Pakistan.

A few days ago, thirteen people were killed in a suicide car bomb at an intelligence building situated in Model Town, Lahore.

On October 15, 2009, 16 people including 12 personnel of the security forces had been martyred in foiling three separate terrorist assaults by killing 9 terrorists at FIA Building, Manawan Police Training Centre and Bedian Elite Police Training Centre in Lahore.

Besides various terror-incidents in Lahore, Peshawar and Rawalpindi which involved gun battles between the terrorists and the security forces, previous pattern of subversive acts through suicide attacks has also been intensified. In one of the latest incidents, on March 13 some 14 people including three security Personnel were killed when a suicide bomber targeted a security forces’ check post in Mingora.

Notably, in the last five years, Pakistan’s various regions have faced suicide attacks by the militants who entered the country from Afghanistan where tentacles of terrorism exist. In this respect, India has set up secret training centres in Afghanistan where its military personnel in collaboration with RAW have been imparting training to the youngsters. By setting aside the atrocities of the Taliban insurgents, they propagate that Pakistan’s armed forces are killing its own people.

All the terror-incidents indicate that Indian RAW has been waging a secret war against Pakistan through its well-trained insurgents who could conduct attacks in major cities despite Pakistan’s successful military operations against the militants and the death of the renowned militant commanders.

After sponsoring bomb blasts and suicide attacks in the past, a perennial wave of the same in 2009 and this yearparticularly in the last 18 months clearly proves that RAW has modified its tactics of subversion in Pakistan. Apart from direct suicide events, now militants, armed with hand grenades and machine guns also come to help the explosive-laden vehicles so as to penetrate the security at the target points. Sometimes, exchange of fire takes place between the saboteurs and the security guards, and sometimes, purpose is to directly kill the security personnel of our country, either through suicide explosion or through hand grenades. A number of terror-events in Pakistan endorse that RAW’s agents have been acting upon guerilla techniques. In this regard, in most of the terror-tragedies, huge quantity of explosives has also been used.

Apart from the previous and latest incidents in Peshawar, Islamabad and Lahore, similar tactics of suicide attacks and exchange of fire occurred in connection with many terrorist incidents as the militants reached their targets with latest weapons.

In this respect, on March 3, 2009, terrorists targeted the bus of Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore and killed 8 persons after a continuous gunfire. Pakistani officials confirmed that “grenades and rocket launchers had been recovered” which were of foreign origin. Afterwards, official inquiry disclosed that RAW was behind that attack.

Besides on March 30 last year, more than 10 terrorists raided the Manawan Police Training Center in Lahore, leaving at least 12 dead. After eight hours gun battle, Pakistan’s security forces regained the control of the police academy, capturing five terrorists alive. On May 27, more than 30 people were killed in Lahore when an explosive-laden Suzuki van exploded near Rescue 15 building of the police which was completely destroyed. It also damaged the building of the Lahore Capital City Police Office (CCPO) and that of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) which was the main target, but could not be hit due to heavy firing by the security guards on the terrorists who came along with the vehicle, firing at the security guards. Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah had stated on the same day that Indian involvement in “suicide attack in Lahore cannot be ruled out.”

Similar types of terror-tactics were applied by the culprits in relation to the Pearl Continental hotel in Peshawar where more than 20 persons had been killed in the suicide blast.

Another guerilla technique of the RAW-trained terrorists is that they camouflage themselves by wearing the uniform of Pakistani security forces so as to deceive the security guards and to get inside the targeted point for conducting their assigned task. In this connection, last year, U.N.’s World Food Program in Islamabad was attacked by a suicide bomber who was wearing an official uniform, evaded tight security and killed five people. Again, the militants who attacked the GHQ on October 10, 2009, were wearing army uniforms.

In fact, in the past 10 months, Pakistan’s security forces have broken the backbone of the suicide bombers by arresting most of their commanders and insurgents, while thwarting a number of suicide missions through pre-arrests. But Indian RAW with technological support of Israel has succeeded in training the new fugitives who are regularly being sent to Pakistan with a view to destablising our country. Now, this fact is known to everyone that Pakistan is the only nuclear country in the Islamic world. Hence, US, Israel and India want to weaken it by creating lawlessness for achieving their secret strategic interests.

Notably, Pakistan’s civil and military high officials have openly been revealing that Indian secret agency, RAW, Israeli Mossad and other foreign agencies are involved in supporting insurgency in the Frontier Province, separatism in Balochistan and subversive acts in Karachi and Lahore.

As regards the external elements, on June 28, NWFP Governor Awais Ghani had disclosed that some world powers were trying to divide Pakistan, adding that if he were not a governor, he would have exposed them. In this context, on April 23, 2009, in the in-camera sitting of the Senate, Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik displayed documentary evidence of Indian use of Afghanistan to create unrest in Pakistan.

During the ongoing military operations, some of our high officials repeatedly pointed out that the late Baitullah Mehsud chief of the T.T.P, who was killed in a US drone attack on August 5, last year had been backed by the foreign powers. He was having a number of secrets regarding foreign intelligence agencies. Nevertheless, like Baitullah, his successor, Hakimullah Mehsud was also collective agent of RAW and CIA. While playing a double game like his paymasters, his real aim is to incite the innocent Pakhtoons in order to further weaken Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the ISPR spokesman Major-General Athar Abbas have repeatedly stated that they have concrete evidence of Indian support to terrorism in Pakistan through Afghanistan.

At present, apart from other volatile regions, military operation has succeeded in South Waziristan, but India with the tactical help of the US has also intensified its strategy to sabotage the same through clandestine tactics applied by its Waziristan-based agents.

It is of particular attention that on October 7, 2009, BBC displayed a documentary movie regarding the eighth anniversary of the US-led NATO invasion of Afghanistan. It stated, “Now this war is being fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, and “it will soon spread to Pakistan.”

Nonetheless, Indian RAW has launched a secret war inside Pakistan by inciting the militants through various techniques of propaganda, supported by the subversive acts of guerilla warfare.

No 'solid' evidence about India's hand in Lahore blasts : Qureshi

Islamabad, Mar.14 (ANI): While political leaders in the country and some sections of the media wasted no time in pointing fingers towards 'foreign involvement', read India, in the series of Lahore blasts, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has admitted that it has no solid evidence to prove the assertion.

Interacting with reporters at the Multan airport, Qureshi said it would be 'premature' to blame India for blasts, in which at least 55 people were killed over 100 injured on Friday.

"The evidence of direct Indian involvement is not found so far," Qureshi said.

Commenting on Prime Minister Dr.Manmohan Singh's recent visit to Saudi Arabia, Qureshi rejected the notion that New Delhi wanted to involve Riyadh to play the role of a mediator between India and Pakistan.

"I am invited by Saudi Arabia and I am due to meet with my Saudi counterpart on April 3. The situation would soon be clear and we would get details of Manmohan's recent visit to Saudi Arabia," The Nation quoted Qureshi, as saying.

He said Pakistan wants composite dialogue with India to resume soon, and that it has no qualms if it involves a third party in talks and added that New Delhi itself has always opposed any third party's role in deliberations over the Kashmir issue.

Commenting on India's continuous demands that Pakistan must do more against the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks, Qureshi said Islamabad, time and again, has clarified that it is doing whatever it can and has put the plotters on trial.

"We have told them (India) that courts in Pakistan are independent, just like India," he said. (ANI)

If you're sincere, why don't you renew Indus Water Treaty and other pending issues?
