Default What about a Think Tank-like section?

Hello Admin,

Just curious to know that are we going to have a section similar to a think Tank? And if and when it is established, would you consider to open up its doors for the Non-Pakistani members?

Good question Sir, we're working on the Think Tank and the group will be called "PSR Ambassadors".

We've set following criteria for the nomination and selection of this ambitious and honorable group:

- Pakistani orgin (for the time being)
- Impeccable reputation
- Moderate views
- Regular posting and debating skills

Invitations will be sent this week to the few the Management has already picked and once the group is created we'll discuss the role with them in the PSR Abassadors own forum.

A new feature to be introduced is the PSR Elite group which will include top and knowledgeable posters and debators. Ofcourse this group will not be reserved for Pakistanis only but will have good members from all arround the world.

Guys lets not create an elite group at all. After all why do we need one? even if we pass around sensitive info it is not done till it has come out in common knowledge in any case. So what will it gain. Let us all remain equal and project pakistan in our own individual capacities.

There was a rubble dubble, five minutes it lasted
The mirror said, "You are you conceited bastard"

Actually such groups will prove to be incentives to keep the members active posting, and instill a sense of responsibility in them to keep up the standard of the forum! Thats my 2 cents ;)

Don't know why. But it sounds thrilling to me, "Think Tank" and "Elite Group". One may be proud of being a part of it. Being of some importance to Pakistan, in shape of defending it in cyber space, is worth to be proud of.

Arent the ranks incentive enough? And what about people thanking people for their contributions? Not to be sexist but please cant we leave the multitasking to the ladies? Atleast it wont make the forum complicated, c'mon guys its only early days. Adding too much too soon and there isnt room for improvement. Or even if there is, I am talking for the hundreds maybe thousands who will inshllah join us. Most wont have a clue about the elite group and find it a bit daunting.

Plus werent we supposed to have no such thing as hierarchy etc. I think ''think-thank'' idea is good but lets leave the elits group out for now atleast.

Madamji, A person who has visited a forum atleast once will Know what TT and Elite groups and MPs are all about! :) There is nothing wrong with Elite stuff etc! Trust me, it will prove to a Boon!

PSR should start with all the goodies I believe, because then only it will look good to the visitors and they will forget its a new forum and seeing all these Think Tanks, MPs etc they will easily get over any prejudice that its some new rag tag group not worth being a part off. It will make PSR stand out, trust me, I havent been in forum world for a long time, But know some stuff about running a forum and the Mindset of a Lurker :) God Speed.

PS: If there be no Hierachy, first the Ranks should be done away with, then No Think tanks! ;)

You have a good point (or several points) here. However, as you might or might not be aware of the fact that the PSR is the result of the efforts of only two people, Neo and Darkstar. Desire and planning has always been there but it was simply not possible for them to have each and every feature incorporated in the forum right from the beginning, especially when they had to launch the forum on August 14th.

However, as you might have noticed, several features are being incorporated and forum is evolving gradually. Since the suggestions and the feedbacks from the members are instrumental in this regard, the management is welcoming all the members to come up with their ideas. I hope this forum never attains a ‘final’ shape, as evolution is the sign of life.
