Our ranks

I can see under my name a rank, a military rank, I suggest we don't use military ranks we see these on a lot of foras. I suggest something to do with PSR, like some foras rank members after they reached a certain number of posts "special friend." Just a suggestion.

I agree that we're not a military but a geo-political and social forum with a good military coverage. We should have civil titles...

Maybe we could use some sort of reward stickers etc.....like they use in nurseries...or is that a very childish thing?
Well we could tell some one to design them where good work is rewarded and when you reach 10/20/30/or even 100 posts you get a special bonus star or something...
And then we could have a special chart on the front page....something like the wall of shame,but in our case the wall of praise where the top poster has his/her name with the sticker and so on and so forth.

Interesting concept Geko, I believe I've seen it in an Indian forum where medals are rewarded for good posting.
Imho its not a very good idea to link reward on the quantity but rather the quality of the posts should be encouraged. But we can develop a medal rewarding system on popular demand.

I most fora, ranks serve to indicate seniority and contribution of a member...the higher the number of your posts the higher the rank gets. We want to use that feature, be it civil or military.

So lets think of some good civil tiltes as ranks.

Well we could have medals for quality and quantity,two types,first the quantity,
maybe we could have, lets say 9 types of different medals with different coloured stars on them the more quantity the better your colour gets,lets starts with any colour and go up the chart,we'll have a chart on the front page explaining precisely how many posts qualify you to a better star and the stars will be like


10 posts-one yello star on medal

20-one purple star

30-one orange star

40-one fushia star

50-one red

60-one white

70-one green

90-one blue

100-one silver
and then 110-one silver and one yellow star
and so on until you reach 200 which is gold star
and then 300 is platinum star
400 is diamond and so and so forth


then for quality we give you a different coloured medal not stars this time....the medals be 4 types maybe,if you post a good thread you get a silver medal, bad thread or simply nonsensical thread you get copper with however many stars, good reply to a thread gold medal,bad you get iron ...
so in the end you might have a copper medal with a diamond star on it etc....

Neo,i suggest members be awarded titles on quality of their posts and contributions to psr,apart from the rank system based on number of posts and mp tag........that would do good,with newcomers trying to be rude with the better posters of the fora,who have lesser number of posts
