Nuclear Power Plants---is it still a good idea for india
A tragedy in japan----first the earthquake---then the tsunami----massive damage to man, material and property and then there is the nuclear power plant crisis.
Four nuclear reactors----massive earthquake damage---very close to plant melt down stage at this moment now. These plants are located right on the ocean front. With all the water in front of them, the crisis does not seem to fade away.
So, here is the interesting question----the million dollar question----what is india going to do about the deal that it made with the usa a few years ago----the deal that had the pakistanis torqued and twisted in disbelief and anger. Is india going to reconsider the dangers or what?
The chairperson of the U S energy commission is suggesting to put back a moratorium on nuclear power plants in the u s and those in europe are going to be doing the same.
If a country like japan which has all the resources needed, cannot cope with the powers of a nuclear reactor gone bad, then can a country like india stand upto the crisis.
Maybe---maybe the pakistanis will get their wish once for all----I think that it needs a little pushing and nudging----some articles in the papers by our esteemed writers about the dangers of the nuclear reactor power plants under the current scenario may bring us some reprieve to our hurt and damaged egos.
