“loadshedding will continue” till issues not resolved in Pakistan

I want to share the news which I read regarding “load shedding problems” will continue in entire country till all issues not resolved. The Govt. claims the load shedding main reasons non-receipt of outstanding debt of supply of oil and gas than why general public suffers? This news is more painful and hurting for those who have no arrangement of UPS or Generator think how they people remain in total darkness during summer seasons. You people ever realized how infants, teenagers and elderly people force to stay when no electricity and they have no alternative way to get power by UPS or Generator are very depress and un-luckily people of our country.

I must asked a question from KESC when a common consumer failed to pay his electricity bill than after 2nd month his connection cut but tell how you people punish those consumers who are using ill-legal connection but never fear to be caught or paying the actual electricity bills. Which is supposing the main reasons of revenue and power losses but end no result only honest consumers suffers?

Tell which Government have power or sincere to overcome this load shedding crisis still every Government claim that they will get rid of load shedding, poverty, inflation and un-employment when they came in power but tell honestly those people who are in power and full authority what they did for common man welfare or benefits. What they did to overcome of electricity crisis.

Strongly recommended to buy cheap electricity from Iran or India instead of buying expensive electricity which burden a business community not able to bear and always complaining for high rate of power traffic in entire Pakistan than do you think a common man how can bear this “white elephant” burden on his shoulders. Than think how Pakistani products can compete the prices with Indian or Chinese products when such a high level of power traffic, lack of law and order situation and lack of Government support especially to business community in order to secure new market place for Pakistani products.

I am proud to see no load shedding particular in India – Bombay city. More interesting to share how they successfully running electric train. If suppose any load shedding than entire Bombay city will be paralysis the main reason majority of people wanted to travel in train as compare to go with Bus or Taxi or own car the main reasons due to traffic jam and how much time will consume to reach the place nobody knows but when a person travel with train than he is confirm to reach his place on exact time. Which are amazing and every common people get benefit when travel with trains saves time and money.

Thanking You.

Pakistan's Energy Crisis to Worsen in Next Two Years

Jan 9, 2007 3:34 PM
Xinhua English Newswire

The Pakistani government is anticipating the energy crisis to worsen in the coming two years due to a 50% increase in the demand and a rather slow improvement in the supply, the leading Pakistani newspaper DAWN reported Monday.

The power shortage, estimated to be 1000 to 2000 MW during the current year, is likely to hit 3000 MW next year and to increase to about 5300 MW by 2010, said the report.

The overall energy requirement of Pakistan is expected to be about 80 million tons of oil equivalents (MTOE) in 2010, up by about 50% from the 54 MTOE of the current year, it said.

A government official told DAWN that the energy shortage was severe and widespread in almost all areas, and natural gas, power, and oil shortages were all posing risks to the economic growth in medium to long term period.

Another official, quoted by the report, said that the development of water resources would resolve the problem in the long run but in the short term, there was a limit to constructing costly thermal power projects given their high economic costs.

A major shortfall is expected in natural gas supplies, as an official energy demand forecast indicates that the demand for natural gas, which makes up about 50% of Pakistan's energy consumption, would increase by 44% to 39 MTOE from 27 MTOE currently, DAWN reported.

The government had planned five major initiatives, including three gas import pipelines, the Gwadar port as energy hub and the LNG import to meet these energy requirements.

But four of these measures, namely the three import pipeline projects, are uncertain at present, while concentration on energy facilities in Gwadar would chiefly depend on security situation, besides oil and gas import pipelines, said the report.

I sincerely hope that Sharif learns about things like "The bigger picture" But frankly I am not holding out much hope.

Strongly recommended to buy cheap electricity from Iran or china. I sincerely think that Pakistan is capable of producing every thing and support it self in all commodities how ever if due to our lack of knowledge and honesty we are unable to do that then, for the love of God, lets get it form people who are ready to give this at low prices!!!. how selfish can our gov be in refusing when they are fully aware of the nation's turmoil and pathetic state due to the hardships like load shedding ,no gas , no water !!!
plz i beg our politicians to stop being selfish and for once think of poor population of Pakistan !!!!

Pakistan finishes construction of nuclear power plant with Chinese assistance
under News April 11th, 2011 by IFandP Newsroom

Pakistan has completed the construction of the Chashma nuclear power plant II with cooperation from China and the plant has started to produce 100MW of power on a trial basis, which is expected to increase to 300MW in 20 days, from a design capacity of 325MW. The project was completed ahead of schedule in a five-year period and has been connected to the national grid.

The Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has said that construction of two more reactors at the same site, also with Chinese assistance, has been started and that they will be completed in the next five to seven years. Work is also underway to boost the capacity of the already operating reactors. A senior government official said that the country would install 10 such plants for which six sites have been selected, to boost Pakistan’s nuclear power capacity to 8800MW over a span of 22 years. Pakistan is planning to build a nuclear fuel complex at a cost of PKR51.298bn (US$606m) to locally produce the fuel that will be used by the new plants.

I have re-posted the above to show that there is planning ahead to enable large part of the energy shortfall to be covered. The problem is that idiots in the country tend to continually vote in corrupt politicians (such as the current regime) who line their own pockets and disrupt vital deals that would help the country. Hopefully the nuclear deals and other possible energy projects will aleviate the shortfall.

A side benefit is that it will shut that idiot Sharif up (wonder what he will do when he can't complain about load shedding.....)

''Surprise Bananas'' and ''Very Surprise Milk'' maybe?

In his defense though, I would like to like to state that it takes all types of people to make the world go round...
Mr Sharif adds an interesting twist/taste to our board....a bit like Marmite I guess. You either love him or you hate him.

No offense intended.

Hi
look every one has their own opinions. in reply to people voting for corrupt people ...i think..our people are very innocent and the gov keeps them illiterate so that the only thing they understand is money. they have to eat and make a living for their families. so its the rigging and buying votes which brings these politicians in power. i sincerely hope we would take some blame as the most part of our educated population do not vote including my self . since i belong to army i am not allowed to vote independently. our votes are casted by the army i think. i am not sure . so i blame my self as one of those who are responsible for such corrupt gov to be in power !!!
nuclear power is good. energy resources however should be planned along the gas and water supplies as these are in abundance in Pakistan. silting of dams or building of new dams is the need of the day ...these flood waters can be managed. also we were going to b independent in fuel due to our enriched reservoirs of gas but that is sabotaged too. we have tons and ton of coal but whats the use ...its all being wasted due to internal conflicts.
I hope to God people of Pakistan will start thinking of this country as one nation !!!

Well good energy management is essential for any country. However the problem is that most of these systems need investment which won't arrive until they get rid of corrupt politicians. And that won't happen until the populace is educated to decent level and doesn't blindly follow who they are told to follow.
