One passenger aircraft engine caught fire on Friday after hitting a bird at Karachi airport, local media reported, adding no casualties.
A loud blast was heard in the engine of Pakistan's International Airlines (PIA flight PK-747, a bowing commercial plane, when the airliner was preparing to take off at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. All the passengers are safe and sound, local sources said. The engine was on fire after blast occurred when the plane was taxiing on runway as the fire and smoke was seen emitting from engine.
