Something I wrote about 1 of my missions. I don't know when I look back at the things I have done during the war or in peace time they were all suicide missions and I was always the one ordered or I was always the one saying I will do it. May be I was young dumb and stupid or I had to prove something to my self.

Well . In 1970 I was in Decca 14SQd we had sabers there. We wanted to see the capabilities of there radars so I got into my saber no ammo wanted the saber to be light so took a piss before take off climbed to 24,000/-ft and bang 2 Migs on my tail firing at me I went into a dive and in no time I went supersonic broke the sound barrier problem was not that I broke the barrier problem was I had 2 Migs faster than me firing at me and my Stick is hard like a rock couldn't move an inch the saber was not meant for supersonic speeds, Dilemma was the only way I survive is by slowing the speed and get control on the other hand if I slow down they have me for lunch. There were always black clouds over decca out of 300 sorties I landed with open cockpit 97 times because the windshield used to get white and use couldn't see so you had to open the cockpit and see right or left and land.
So I reduced my speed and got into the cloud, When I came out on the other side I was about 50 feet behind the Mig Big Blody engine infront of me and I said yes I got you and pressed the trigger and said oh **** no ammo If I would have had 1 bullet that would have done the trick hard luck.

Talking about warn showers me and Afzal Chaudhry (SJ) PAF nick name Gum boot Chaudhry were flying together and he shouted at me for no reason I was just doing what I was suppose to do he got angry because he missed the target and I got the target but he being the OC well I got into trouble told me that my approach was wrong WTF I just got a tank what else do you want me to do so he tells me to land and wrote me up. Now I and my course mates are thinking how to get even with this guy he is our OC but we youngsters were better pilots than him. So we all decided lets scare the shit out of him he was scared of monkeys. In decca it was easy to buy a monkey we bought a big monkey kept him hungry for 3 days, In the night before going to bed he used to take shower 9pm sharp I just thinking and laughing Every body knew that takes tea at 6 dinner at sharp 8 and shower at 9 so he gets in the bathroom now 7 of us with the monkey in the bag climb his house waiting for the shower to start it was a ground floor residence. So we hold Samd changazi legs and lower him down waited for him to put the soap on his face as he did tanveer cut the lights and javed shuts the water off and samad took the monkey and threw it in the bathroom , Jumped quickly and ran back to officers mess. While we were getting down we could only hear Afzal sahib Screaming theres is a monster in the bathroom who wants to eat me and the monkey who was hungry and shit scared because afzal sb voice was so loud that it reached the officers mess and he is abusing so loud oh bhanc--- again and again. We all went a slept the next day no show now we started to piss in our pants did the monkey eat him or what So we were told by Noisy that he is not feeling well, And he showed up after 2 days his face was all busted up monkey made his moves now he is telling us the story what happed was when samad threw the monkey in it went and grabbed afzals sb right leg because no lights the monkey scared grabbed his leg and then started to climb up towards his head and till the servant came in with the lights the monkey was attached to his face and busted him up, Now he is telling us and we can't laugh and and after a while we just went ballistic laughing our guts out. And he laughed with us. We didn't know that while we ran out of his house the Air force Intel guy saw us and he reported this to him after 3 days. All 7 of us were grounded pending court marshal but during that time we all were moved to Sargodha and peshawar because of the war. Till today we all laugh what took place that night

Thats an incredible story Sir! Why did you want the sabre to be lighter if its not meant to fly super sonic? Whats the max speed you can get with the canon working?

One more question sir; how it was allowed in those days that you may play real hide and seek with the indians in a million $ jet? i know that the military had been lot bolder back then but i think you should have taken along some ammo-just for the unforeseen.
