Now the reason I really started this thread was because I just recently had a strange paranormal experience. I live alone and I had been up for 24 hours this past weekend, so this Sunday I went to bed at 4 in the afternoon, turned all my lights off and closed the curtains, made sure the room was pitch black as it was still daylight outside. 7 hours later approximately around midnight I wake up with a stiff pain in my neck to see all my bedroom lights turned on. I swear to everything that is Holy that I don't sleep walk nor do I make up stories to scare people. I am sitting in my basement right now and I can tell you that I am still a little nervous of going upstairs to my room to sleep. Matter of fact sleeping anywhere I feel like I am at the weakest...when I am awake I feel like the commander of the 7 seas...but when I go to sleep it's like a whole new world, sometimes I get disturbed dreams other times I have been physically attacked. I am getting real sick of this, if anyone has any input please share.

I would also like to point out that I am one of the biggest skeptics out there when it comes to this field...I am heavily grounded in scientific reason. However I just went through all the possibilities of why my bedroom lights would be physically turned on (no circuit issues in the rest of the house, brand new electrical wiring)...you literally have to move a switch or turn a knob to turn on the lights and they were physically not in their original place...there was no break in and entry as nothing was missing and neighborhood has never had a thief because almost everyone is armed or has dogs, my trusty friend Maximus (a German Shepherd puppy I got as a gift month and a half back) would have been the first one making noises if anything like this happened. This is really bothering me now, I feel like a need a room mate or a wife now because it is hard to be in this position completely alone and wondering when the next stealth attack will take place...

Great thread.......my favourite so far, Thankx beasty.

I love anything to do with horror and can make up scary stories within minutes to scare just about anyone......the above mentioned by you, not scary but definitely a bit creepy.

Maybe you are being stalked by some ''bunny boiler'' who introduced some sort of slumber drug into your ventilator system so that you blanked out....crept in while you slept etc etc? Quick, check the stock pot on the hob in your kitchen (I just hope poor little Maximus isnt taking a ''dip'' in there).

Anyway keep us updated whatever happens......and good luck with Casper.

When you get the chance please share something that will scare the ish out of us, I find that constantly scaring yourself with quality horror material makes you immune to some degree if you ever have to face something unworldly. For instance I didn't wet myself and run outside screaming when I woke to find all the lights switched on

Great minds think alike, this was my first reaction and I ran downstairs with a cricket bat and my Nina only to find everything normal and mr. maximus looking at me like I've completely lost it. Anyways I put down the bat and grabbed Max to do a few rounds outside and we didn't find anything odd. I don't have any disgruntled stalking ex lovers to worry about for the most part, people can be horrifying indeed but it's the unseen that really gets me.

Will do.

This reminds me of one occasion actually.....

During my student years, I was sharing a house with some girls. Come Christmas and they went for the holidays, leaving me alone in the house. I used to be very very cruel and would scare my house mates with horrible murder/vampire/ghost stories.....

Anyway I was cooking some food a few days later, doors all locked, windows as well. The kitchen door was glass and got steamed up.....when I looked at it there was a ''BOO'' written in the condensation on the window.

Click the image to open in full size.

A young girl all alone in the house and suddenly these words appear on the window and that even from the inside on the glass pane.......''shiver me timbers''.....I totally freaked out, ran to my room and locked the door from the inside ready to jump out the window if someone was in the house.

A few seconds later I realized that just a few days ago I had cooked as well without the extractor fan on and condensation had formed on the glass and I had written those words on the glass pane.......phew.....

No ghost in the house for me then.

Taste of my own medicine but that was the only time I cooked without switching on the extractor fan.

Hey Beasty another one for you...not one of mine but I improvised a bit.

There were these two girls in a hostel....one was slightly religious and a bit studious and the other a bit out going and free spirited. Both shared the room in the hostel

Come holiday season and everyone went home for holidays apart from the two gilrls. Weekend approached and the not so religious one....ermmmm lets call her Naomi was getting ready to go out for the weekend and stay the night at her friends, a few blocks from the hostel. She gets ready and asks her room mate.....we'll call her Ashanti....whether she wanted to trudge along with Naomi. Ashanti declines saying '' I have to study''.

So Naomi gets ready and heads out, leaves the hostel grounds and starts to walk to the end of the road when she realizes that she has forgotten her bag in the room, right next to the door when she was leaving.

Heads back to the hostel and finds the gate unmanned.....gets a bit annoyed that the watchman has taken a walk.....goes to her room and tries to open the door, which is not locked and the lights in the room are switched off (thinks Ash must have forgotten to lock it and must have dozed off).....doesnt want to disturb Ashanti so she bends down and picks up her bag without turning the lights on.

Heads out and sees the watchman dozing off in the shed next to the gate.....laughs it off and goes out for the night.

Comes back the next day ....only to find the walls of her room splattered with blood and her room mate bludgeoned and chopped to little pieces (chotay chotay totay).....and right there on the wall infront of her she sees in red (obviously her room mates blood)

''Arent you glad you didnt switch on the lights Naomi''

Moral of the story - Never stay in over the weekend

Anyway I bracketed the ''chotay chotay totay'' bit as this story gave my room mate a few sleepless nights ( I narrated it in Urdu) and she used to freak out every time I mentioned the ''chota chotay totay'' bit.....

Are you trying to say people in India dont enjoy ''Zee horror show?''.''Aahat''...and the likes????

(Why do you have to drag Pakistan into this Singhji? I am sure there are some people out there who like the adrenaline rush.....could be any country really.)
