Christchurch, Jan 23 : Pakistan knocked defending champions India out of the under-19 cricket World Cup with a thrilling victory by two wickets here Saturday.
Chasing a target of 115 runs in 23 overs in the rain-curtailed match, Pakistan reached the target with just three balls to go.
Ahsan Ali (30) and Rameez Aziz (28) guided the innings after a top-order collapse before Hammad Azam contributed a vital 21 runs off just 13 balls to see his team through.

I am impressed! People actually watched the under 19 match!
I now barely watch world cup matches or parts of T-20 matches. Lost much of the interest in cricket.

Nah nah vinod dont get it wrong. i am no fan of cricket no more.
Waqar and Wasim left and crickt i was done with cricket.
did you see posting me in that IPL thread?
i was just changing the channel and saw this match or something and also saw the LIVE tag on, and i wondered which match would this be (see the level of interest, i never knew there's a world cup underway).
BTW, on a serious note, how would it lower the enthusiasm for cricket fans if it would be 'U-19'?

Depends. I never see any coverage for domestic cricket or under 19 cricket on the same level. Never seen anyone discussing the players or matches, never seen any statistics of what goes on there.
Not to say that people should not take interest, just that they don't. For the most part.
Even now I doubt the majority of cricket fans can tell even the names of most players, let alone their records etc.

i agree, but i would like to remain with the fact that it is international cricket, atleast better than domestic cricket.

Yes better than domestic cricket of the subcontinent, may be not of the Australian league which is very good I hear.
Then there is IPL, another domestic league.
