Back in business
Assalaamualaikum / Hello to everybody out here.
I'm Jihad, in the broadest sense.. ;)
20 years old, currently studying trade management & economics at the "Hogeschool van Amsterdam" or University of applied science or whatever you would like to call it.
To keep it short and simple, I have my amibitions and visions, I'd like to become a social entrepreneur in the near future, or simply put, a business man, perhaps somewhere in between.
Don't ask me who, what where, i'm just going for it.
I will keep a long story short, I am a patriotic Pakistani, I love my country and my people, and I also feel the pain and agony right now.
I feel that Pakistan is at crossroads right now, with the current situation in the war on terror, with the U.S. breathing heavily in our neck, combined with domestic violence, poverty, etc. We have so much to work on.
The upcoming elections are vital aswell as emotional in a sense, if people are not tired of the current PPP led government, then I don't know what to say.
I see that i'm already straying away from my introduction, but the real important factor here is not me or my background, it is Pakistan first and foremost.
I've known Neo and some other board members for quite a while now, some only by name, but rest assured, I've realized that there are very few ambitious websited related to the Pakistani cause which gives us a much better insight on what goes on in and out of Pakistan.
I'm sick and tired of being fed with anti-Pakistan and mostly western propaganda about us, I want some clear answers too, I think all of us want that, aswell as solutions.
I think that PakistanTalk is the right place to discuss all the past, current and future possible events, hopefully with the input of all the members, we can contribute to the image of Pakistan.
I've been on PakistanTalk before, but quit due to personal circumstances, I had to step back. I regret this decision and know that i've dissapointed certain people with that.
Our country needs us more than ever right now, and my active contribution to the discussions on this board, is the least I can do.
I'm an emotional debater at times, and still have a long way to go, I can be aggressive when it comes to defending our dignity and honor as Pakistanis, we have been put in a corner so many times, it's time to end the drama and work hard towards a prosperous future for all of us. It's possible, it has to be possible, our country has all the blessings, but unfortunate events in geo-politics aswell as domestic politics have led to alot of complications.
Alas... i'm straying off the subject again.
I'm here to stay, a stubborn youngman with his own dreams, I hope and wish for the best for Pakistan, but also for non-Pakistanis, for everyone in the world actually. Too bad reality is far, far away from what I have in mind.
I look forward in learning from your discussions.
Thanks for reading.
