Default Why KESC un-switch street lights during morning hours?

Why KESC un-switch street lights during morning hours?
I saw many time KESC never SWITCH off lights during morning hours which is total wastage of powers and loss of money. I feel pain that is why feel responsibility to bring the notice of Higher authority.

More interest to share KESC never realized this wastage of power and never questioned who is responsible for the loss or how to prevent this wastage to overcome the electricity crisis.

Please do not waste electricity un-necessary even we have surplus power, those who intentionally do this wastage are answerable and never skip from punishment not from higher authority but God.

Please think positive in the interest of KESC to closed all street lights when sunrise and any one who do not follow the KESC management instruction should be punished so In future he become careful and make sure all lights properly switch off.

Thanking You

Yours faithfully

While I agree with your concern about electricity wastage by KESC, I must add that this practice is not just under practice by KESC but also by LESC and the likes.

Each light uses about 230v to 400v energy. Multiply that and woah........

Anyway we should be grateful that we have switched to high pressure sodium lights rather than the mercury source that we were using up until a decade ago.

One very easy answer to all the wastage - 'photocells', light sensitive sensors that trigger the switch upon dusk and dawn. If only.....
