Passing out parade of Army recruits held

KARACHI, A smart passing out parade of the Army Air Defence Corps recruits was held at Malir Cantonment, here on Thursday. Major General Zamir Ul Hassan Shah, General Officer Commanding Air Defence Division, was the chief guest on the occasion.

While addressing the parade, he dilated upon the need to adopt modern techniques of warfare to maintain the cutting edge over all adversaries. He spoke at length about the development of Air Defence as an effective arm of Pakistan Army and urged the passing out recruits to show utmost vigilance and devotion in undertaking any task assigned to them. He also gave away prizes to the outstanding recruits. Centre Commandant Medal (Physical Training) was given to Recruit Shahzad Rasheed. Recruit Saifullah was adjudged overall second best recruit of the course and received Colonel Commandant Medal, while Recruit Muhammad Bilal being the best recruit of the course was awarded Colonel-in-Chief's Cane, Commander Army Air Defence Command Medal for best firer was awarded to Recruit Nasrullah. During the course of the parade, the recruits showed high level of coordination and mastery over drill movements. A large number of army officers, junior commissioned officers, jawans and relatives of the passing out recruits witnessed the parade.
