RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani attended funerals of some of Shaheeds of yesterday’s tragic terrorist attack on a Mosque during Juma Prayers, in which officers, soldiers, elders, children and civilians lost their precious lives.

He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. The Nation, including the Army stands united in sharing their grief. Having met and talked to these families, he praised their exemplary strength of faith at this moment of trial. This intrinsic strength is a true reflection of the indomitable will and resilience of the Pakistani Nation.

The COAS thanked the Nation for their wholehearted support and sympathy at this hour of grief. This spontaneous and overwhelming show of solidarity by the Nation with the Army is a treasure, which we deeply value and cherish.

The COAS stated that Pakistan is our motherland. It is the bastion of Islam. We live and die for the glory of Islam and Pakistan. Our faith, resolve and pride in our religion and in our country is an asset, which is further reinforced after each terrorist incident. Pakistan Army stand’s committed to defend, protect and preserve Pakistan at all cost.

The COAS concluded by reaffirming his conviction in the will of the Pakistani Nation to fight all odds. He stated that Pakistan Army, with the help of people of Pakistan will Inshallah protect and preserve our core values and interests in a dignified and chivalrous manner.

Yet, so many difficulties in finding out where ture Pakistan falls, so confusing. Are we (Pakistanies) a nation of self governing people or ideology ruled by religious fanatics, isn't that a question more confusing?

Islam is our ideology Pakistan is our Identity. And we dont care if you dont like it

All of them are Islamic! Many are likely Pakistanis and they are full of praise for what happened in Rawalpindi. They are offering some ingenious justifications as well.

Any serious person would have realized by now where this "ideology" and "identity" is taking Pakistan.

I am not sure if it is not already too late to stem the rot!

Atleast we dont live or die for stone-made beings, who cant even wipe their ******!!

If you are talking of the almighty God, he can assume any shape or form and can be surely realized by remembering him in any form or even without a form.

As you say "Allah knows best", so is this case. Stone is as much a creation of God as any human being.

Now regarding wiping the ass, I am sure none of the dead "prophet" can do that either. Still many kill, murder and rape in his name! Isn't that as illogical?

Thank God Hindu have caste system where they allow to kill dalits... Where they burn muslims in Gujarat or trains. Hell they even destroy ancient Babri cause "their" God was supposed to be there... Hindu's must have some link to sanity.
