Angry Pakistan Air Force JF-17 Thunder crashes, killing pilot

Pakistan Air Force JF-17 Thunder crashes, killing pilot

ISLAMABAD: A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jet crashed during a training flight on Monday, killing the pilot, the air force said. The crash took place near the garrison town of Attock, 65 kilometres northwest of Islamabad. “The jet crashed due to technical malfunction near Attock. The pilot was fatally injured,” an air force statement said.

According to PAF spokesman, the plane was on a routine operational training mission when it crashed at Mullah Mansoor hilltop and the pilot, Squadron Leader Muhammad Hussain, died. “No loss of civilian life or property was reported on the ground,” it said, adding that an inquiry had been ordered to determine the cause of the crash.

PAF has a fleet of Chinese aircraft, including F-7PGs and A-5s, plus US-built F-16s and French Mirages. It recently acquired medium-tech JF-17 or Thunder jets, manufactured jointly by China and Pakistan. agencies

Sad day for our nation as we lost one of the best JF-17's pilots.
M. Hussain was in the team from the very beginning, he was a fine pilot.
I knew him personally.

R.I.P Hussain, we are proud of you!

Definitely a very sad news and a great set back for selling this equipment. I read they were showcasing the aircraft in Dubai Air Show when this incident happened.

It must have hurted their efforts to sell it. :(

It was a malfunction(flameout or a bird strike) at low level. The pilot attempted a restart and did not have enough height and ytime to succeed. He ejected when the plane was banking hard and the ejection seat crashed into the mountians. (Info from HKhan of pakdef.info). We lost a great pilot in the bargain. Rest in peace M Hussain!

Guys you have to remember that these things happen in the world of fast jets. never mourn those who die doing something they love.
