Gen Zia Legacy!
Of course each of our leaders of this orphan country has been leaving behind very absurd legacy - but so far Gen Zia is concerned he was devil incarnate.
His has unrivaled record on this score. Throwing just a glance over his legacy none of our leader lot can match him in terms of his legacy; His legacy has a very long list; kalashancov culture, heroin culture, hashish culture, pornography culture, terrorism culture, clergy culture, mashiakh-uzzam culture, mahajar culture, mullah culture - madrasah culture, horse trading, legitimization of corruption, islamization of his ambitions, sectarianism, nepotism and above all ojrhey camp – mind haunting fountain for the generation to come.
But the most agonizing aspect of his legacy is; that his kith and kin are basking in his kitty of dollars while the poor Pakistan is languishing in the ‘vulture’s culture’ above mentioned!!!
The third dictator, Zia-ul-Haque proved himself the most third-rate among the lot and of course he was the worst among the rest. His legacy will haunt the nation, region and world at large. He was so duffer that on loosing the most strategic region of Siachen to Hindus in the so called heyday of Pak-US ties he was fooling the nation by downplaying the importance of Siachen. So whenever he was asked for comment, his reply was always by snuffling; “Siachen is a place where not a single twig of grass grows over there”. Although it was revealed subsequently that apart from strategic importance of Siachen the world rarest rose plants grow only over there!!!
